Burger King Q2 Revenues Increase

Burger King has revenues of $645.4m for the second quarter of 2010, an increase of 2% compared to $634.1m for the same quarter previous year. Revenues were aided by a worldwide net restaurant growth rate of 2.7%, which positively impacted quarterly revenues by $22.8m.

Dunkin' Donuts, a coffee and baked goods chain, has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with Roadrunner Markets for seven new restaurants in Tri-Cities, Tennessee and the surrounding areas of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Smashburger To Open Second Location In Dayton

Smashburger, a fast-casual restaurant concept, will open its second Dayton location on February 24 at 1200 Brown Street near the University of Dayton. The restaurant along with a local franchisee group Rodenkirch Management is currently scheduled to open 12 restaurants in the Dayton and Cincinnati region over the next few years. Another 30 to 60 openings are scheduled for this year nationwide.

Jamba Sells Eight California Locations As Part Of Refranchising Strategy

Jamba, a holding company and owner of Jamba Juice, has sold eight restaurants in California to Swirl Partners, whose principals are David Wagonfeld and Scott Maltz. This sale is a part of the company’s strategic refranchising program and builds on the sale of 27 restaurants in 2009 to existing Jamba Juice franchise owners in Arizona, Oregon, and California.

Sysco Q2 Operating Income Increases 9.6%

Sysco has reported operating income of $462m for the second quarter of fiscal 2009, an increase of 9.6% compared to $422m for the previous year quarter. Sales for the quarter was $8.9bn, an decrease of 3.1% compared to $9.1bn for the same quarter previous year.
