FBR Staff Writer Published 22 February 2012

Charley’s Grilled Subs, a US-based sandwich chain, has introduced Crispy Beer Battered Fish Sandwich for the Lenten season.

According to the company, the Crispy Beer Battered Fish Sandwich features two Yeungling beer-battered, wild Alaskan Cod fillets. The fillets are served on a toasted bun with toppings and tartar sauce.

Charley's R&D head Chung Choe said that Charley's is known for bringing new tastes to market, and the customers would not be disappointed with the new menu option.

"The Yuengling beer batter makes all the difference with our wild Alaskan cod sandwich; the crunch and flavor is amazing. The sandwich itself provides a great addition to our line-up of hot, fresh steak and chicken sandwich creations," Choe added.

The sandwich will be available till 8 April at all Charley's locations in the US.

Charley's Grilled Subs, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, offers Philly Steak Sandwiches, chicken and deli subs, gourmet fries and freshly squeezed lemonade. It operates over 450 outlets in 46 US states and 16 countries.
