Magnolia Bakery Opens First Location Outside US

Magnolia Bakery, a maker of old-fashioned baked desserts, has opened its Dubai annex location, which is the first outside the US. Through a territorial license agreement, the new bakery, located in the Bloomingdale's home store within The Dubai Mall, will be managed and operated by Al Tayer Insignia, the luxury retail company of Al Tayer Group.
The Dubai location marks the fourth Magnolia Bakery to date, preceding soon-to-open locations in Manhattan's Grand Central Terminal in late February 2010 and in Los Angeles, California in April 2010.
The new Magnolia Bakery in Dubai will be housed in over 885sqft and will offer baked, old fashioned desserts. Items on the new location's menu will offer an array of cupcake flavors including its buttercream-frosted cupcakes, red velvet cake, banana pudding and a variety of brownies, bars and cookies. In the months to come, the bakery will also introduce a full line of merchandise items including its t-shirts, aprons and cookbooks.
